Shelanu – Volunteer Opportunity

We are seeking a Birmingham-based volunteer to assist Craftspace’s Exhibitions and Project Development Manager with Shelanu’s sessions.

By joining us you will contribute to this extraordinary project, which supports migrant and refugee women – in Birmingham – to develop new skills, build their confidence and wellbeing.

Becoming a Volunteer

Fee: Expenses will be paid.
When: Ongoing, Thursdays, 11:30am – 5:30pm. It is important to build continuity and relationships for the Shelanu members, however, there is some flexibility to the role.
Where: Craftspace, Unit 204, the Argent Centre, 60 Frederick Street, Birmingham, B1 3HS.
What: Working alongside our Exhibitions and Projects Development Manager, you will assist with: reviewing and making new stock for their Migrating Birds, Interlocking Stories and Nurture collections; planning activities; supporting induction of new members; supporting craft fairs; and supporting delivery of community workshops offsite.

The knowledge, skills and experience gained will contribute to your personal and professional development, and you will have the opportunity to interact with a diverse range of people.
