Commoners In Common

The We are Commoners exhibition comes to the City of London for London Festival of Architecture 2023 at Velorose Gallery. The exhibition encourages interaction inside and outside the gallery, and will expand throughout June as Velorose’s latest Mail Art / Mapping project evolves.
Exploring commoning through the theme of mapping. See work by We are Commoners artists including Deirdre Nelson, Alice McLean and Kate Hodgson.
Velorose Gallery are running lots of activities during the festival including:
‘Commoners in Common’ Opening Party, Thursday 1 June 2023, 6pm to 9pm. Free.
‘Mapping your Commons’, a Mapping / Mail Art Project inspired by Deirdre Nelson’s ‘Map your Commons’ activity. Post or deliver your map to the gallery.
(Mapping the) Golden Lane Estate with David Rosenberg for C20: Uncommon Social Housing. Saturday 24 June 2023, 11am to 1pm. £15, book online.
‘Commoners in Common’ Closing Party. Friday 30 June 2023, 6pm to 9pm. Free.
For the duration of the festival you can also watch ‘The new land we seek the new land we dream’ online, a new film commissioned for We are Commoners from Fourthland.
