Art, Materiality and Representation Conference: Meet the artist

Our action research project, Explorations in Creativity, which was part of the Radical Craft exhibition will be feature as an exhibit at the Royal Anthropological Institute’s conference ‘Art, Materiality and Representation’.

It will take place at the British Museum, Clore Centre, in conjunction with the museum’s Department of Africa, Oceania and the Americas and in SOAS, Senate House, in conjunction with their Department of Anthropology.

There will also be a ‘Meet the Artist’ event at the conference on 2 June.

The display and event take place in the Cloisters, Paul Webley Wing SOAS.

 This event is not organised by Craftspace.

Visitors to the conference are a truly interdisciplinary mix of 1500 international delegates. Participants will include anthropologists, curators, teachers, undergraduate and postgraduate students, representatives of NGOs and media, artists, corporate bodies and members of the general public.
