We understand that there can be all sorts of barriers to applying for exhibitions. To try and help we’re holding artist advice sessions. If you feel you face a barrier to applying to Made in the Middle please book this online session for support with:
- completing the application form
- recording a video or audio application
- answering the longer questions on the application form
- photographing your work
You can book a one hour, one to one session with artist Leila Mars. Leila has a wealth of experience supporting visual artists to write about and photograph their work. You can choose which element of the application process you would like to focus on.

Once you have booked we will ask you for additional information by email:
- your craft medium
- your website or social media handles; Instagram and/or Facebook
- any access requirements
The session will be held via Zoom. You don’t need a Zoom account, nor do you have to download Zoom. You can join directly through your internet browser. The Zoom invite and joining instructions will be emailed to you in advance of the advice session.
