Truth of the Youth

2022
Birmingham & Online

Truth of the Youth is a project developed with Cara Standham, a young creative living in the West Midlands, to reach out to new groups of young people and build a network for our future work.

During Autumn 2022, Cara connected with young people aged 16-25 to find out about more about them, and the barriers they face in today’s society.

Meeting in online spaces and in person, Cara talked to young people about their experiences of life in Birmingham and the West Midlands. Collecting information through an online survey, street interviews and in collage workshops, Truth of the Youth communicates the stories, opinions and views of local young people, providing visibility for their voices and identities.

Truth of the Youth exhibition was at GAP Arts Project in December 2022. Watch this space to hear where the exhibition will be heading in 2023.
