Truth of the Youth – Exhibition Launch

Truth of the Youth is a project developed by Craftspace with Cara Standham, a young creative living and working in the West Midlands. During Autumn 2022, Cara connected with young people aged 16-25 to find out about more about them, and the barriers they face in today’s society.
Meeting in online spaces and in person, Cara talked to young people about their experiences of life in Birmingham and the West Midlands. Collecting information through an online survey, street interviews and in collage workshops, Truth of the Youth communicates the stories, opinions and views of local young people, providing visibility for their voices and identities.
Along with the exhibition there will be spoken word from Ayan Aden, Open Mic Competition, Craftivism Workshops from some fab artists, and refreshments.
The exhibition will run from 2nd December – 17th December at The Gap, Birmingham. Opening times: 10am – 5pm Monday to Friday, 11am – 5pm Saturday.
