This vase has a clear glazed interior (so water tight should you wish) but the outside has been left unglazed to mimic the feeling of a sketch. These vases are all one of a kind and will never be recreated. Please see the Product Gallery below for the available variations.
Lucy Baxendale is a Ceramicist, Illustrator & Community Artist based in rural Herefordshire. Through her work, Lucy bridges the realms of imagination and materiality. Lucy uses surrealist automatism to create detailed drawings which become the starting point for her porcelain pieces. She invites observers to witness the evolution of lines into stories, forging connections between the drawn and the sculpted. Lucy’s homeware range is inspired from characters that spring to life within her drawings – a playful attempt to marry fun with practicality and bring joy to the every day.
