Trolley

40 Objects for 40 Years

A simple purple and white graphic image of a trolley.

Trolley

We might have a bit of a love/hate relationship with trolleys but they are an essential piece of our kit. Not afraid of hard physical work, we’re always moving boxes, artworks, craft materials and exhibition furniture.

We haven’t ever had our own venue. Instead, we take exciting ideas, resources, objects and makers out to where people are, in Birmingham and beyond. Setting up exhibitions and events to share, celebrate or connect to people even if only for a day, or a couple of hours!

Nominated by:

Deirdre Buckley, Learning & Engagement Manager
Emma Daker, Exhibitions & Projects Development Manager

To celebrate Craftspace’s 40th Anniversary, we commissioned the artist Stewart Francis Easton to create an artwork which would explore the story of Craftspace through 40 objects. Stewart created a series of four beautiful graphic quilts. You can see them at MAC until 12 April.
