Caroline Jackman

As a freelance business consultant, coach and trainer for the creative industries, Caroline has over 25 years’ working with national charities, government agencies, galleries and practitioners in the UK and overseas.
Caroline is a specialist in the arts, crafts and charitable sectors and has a particular focus on business consultancy. Recent clients include Penwith Galleries Ltd, New Brewery Arts and Swiss Church London.
She is a specialist at designing learning frameworks and facilitates business training courses. Caroline regularly works with European Crafts Alliance and creative educational organisations, including Camberwell, City Lit and West Dean. She has recently designed a new apprenticeship scheme for the luxury brand Cox London.
Caroline has been a business consultant for the Collect Art Fair for 8 years, presenting at Somerset House in London. She manages Collect Open, the platform for ambitious projects by individual artists.
Caroline is an accredited RD1st coach and an accredited facilitator for Time to Think. She is an expert on exporting, producing an International Toolkit for the Crafts Council and Ceramics Art London.
Caroline is a Trustee for New Ashgate Gallery, Mentor for Arts Emergency, Director for the Association for Contemporary Jewellery (ACJ) and an Advisor for Radcliffe Trust.

Claire Hickey

Claire Hickey has over 15 years’ experience working within the arts sector in the West Midlands as a visual artist and project manager, with a particular focus on socially engaged practice and creative health. She is currently Arts Officer for Heritage & Culture Warwickshire where she maintains a strategic overview of arts development across the county, initiating partnerships between a wide range of organisations to grow a high-quality arts offer with beneficial outcomes for communities.

Ekta Kaul

Ekta Kaul is an India-born, London-based artist known for her narrative maps that explores place, memory, and belonging through stitch and abstract painting. Drawing inspiration from personal and collective histories she creates works rooted in place, sometimes real, remembered or imagined. Her work is held in prominent collections including the Museum of London, the Crafts Council, the Gunnersbury Museum, in the UK and Morgan Stanley, India.
Ekta is also an experienced educator. She teaches internationally at institutions such at Victoria & Albert Museum (UK) and Tatter Library (USA), among others. Her book Kantha, published by Bloomsbury UK, celebrates women’s creative voices and offers an expressive, narrative approach to stitch. Her practice has been featured on BBC Radio 4 and in publications such as Vogue, Living Etc, Financial Times, Selvedge, and Embroidery magazine. She was the recipient of the 2021 Cockpit Arts Textile Prize.

David Rowan

David is a visual artist based in Birmingham U.K. Working professionally as a photographer for over 20 years in the cultural heritage and commercial sectors, David has produced thousands of artworks for art galleries, universities, advertising agencies and private clients. His work is regularly published in national and international press, news media, art journals and digital channels.
He works to private commission and in collaboration with artists, curators and galleries throughout the U.K. He produces bodies of work for international print publications, projects and exhibitions.
His work is held within the permanent collections of The Library of Birmingham, The University of Birmingham, The Garman Ryan Collection at The New Art Gallery Walsall and in several private collections. David has worked with many artists as well as with the Contemporary Art Society, Ikon Gallery, Warwick University, the National Portrait Gallery, Nottingham Contemporary, the Barber Institute of Fine Arts, the Courtauld Institute of Art, University of Birmingham, National Galleries of Scotland, Tate, BBC, Yale University Press, the National Trust and Craftspace.

Venue access: There is ramped access to the museum and a lift to the first floor. We have two toilets for people with disabilities.
Travel
Nuneaton Museum and Art Gallery is in Riversley Park near Ropewalk Shopping Centre and just off Coton Road and Vicarage Street.
Approximately ten minutes’ walk from Nuneaton train station and three minutes’ walk from the town centre.
Long and short stay car parks are nearby which include disabled parking. There is free parking for up to 3 hours next to the Museum building, or a pay and display area off Coton Road (turn left at Cocks Lloyd Solicitors, postcode CV11 5TX)
Bus Routes: the closest bus stop is on Coton Road.
Car Share: helping each other and the planet

Travel bursaries available
We recognise that not everyone has equal access to live events and that the cost of travel is a barrier to some people. We have five travel bursaries of up to £65. We can offer these on a first come first served basis.
A travel bursary is for you if you have financial barriers that would mean that you would not attend without this support.
We will not ask for any proof of circumstances, but will need cost of travel. You can request a travel bursary when booking.
