SUMMARY:Birmingham Pride 2023 Eco Drag Challenge
DESCRIPTION:Practical costume making workshop\nHow can the lgbtqia+ community use our contemporary & historic queer crafting skills to respond to the climate emergency? \nSee-Maa-Butt and Maxx Gentleman will share fun\, simple but effective crafting techniques including using plastic bags to make decorative flowers. In this session\, everyone will make headwear or an accessory to wear to Pride. All are invited to join our walking group at the Birmingham Pride Parade on Saturday 27th May to promote ‘planet-kind’ drag that will help make a difference to climate change. \nAll welcome\, no creative experience required\, materials\, tools and refreshments provided. You can bring along a garment or a prop to customise if you like. \nSunday 21 May 1pm – 4pm   \nVenue: The Drawing Room at the Old Print Works\, Balsall Heath \nThis event is part of Drag Declares Emergency project and #EcoDragChallenge developed by Lady Kitt and commissioned by Craftspace. \nImage: Art Matters Now\, Lady Kitt. \nImage description: Colour photo\, exterior.
