Making for Climate Change – Upcycle Action

July 6 @ 10:00 am - 2:00 pm

Come along to the Factory Young People’s Centre to upcycle materials into creative tools for queer climate activism, meet new people, share some food, see new pockets of Birmingham, and learn new skills, with mixed-media artist and craftivist Melanie Tomlinson.

This event is second of five in the Making for Climate Change Workshop series for LGBTQ+ young people (16-25), taking place around Birmingham this Summer, exploring hope in the face of climate anxiety. This workshop series is run by Craftspace and funded by the Energy Saving Trust Foundation. More information about Making for Climate Change can be found here.

To find out about upcycling materials and how it can be used in climate activism, visit our Making for Change Expo.

This event is free; however, we are requesting a £5.00 deposit to secure your place, which will be fully refundable in cash when you attend. Secure your place via Eventbrite.
