Alexandra Palace, London
Shane Waltener with Craftspace and Husqvarna Viking
If you are visiting the show please bring old items of clothing made out of light weight fabrics, and participate in a interactive installation evolving over the four days of the Knitting and Stitching show at Alexandra Palace this October (7th - 10th).
Artist Shane Waltener will be working live with participants on six Husqvarna Viking overlocking machines in the Palm Court Foyer. Groups of stitchers will act as one to make this new piece, Stitching Circle #1, reworking fabric from these donations.
Craftspace and Husqvarna Viking present this exciting event.
The event links to the touring exhibition Taking Time: Craft and the Slow Revolution.
